Special Agent in Charge

In January 2021, Ms. Morgan assumed the position of Special Agent in Charge of the Intelligence Division at FBI Los Angeles. Ms. Morgan is responsible for driving the complete integration of intelligence and operations within FBI Los Angeles. Prior to this assignment, Ms. Morgan was the SAC of the FBI Los Angeles Criminal Division responsible for the Public Corruption, Financial Crimes, Violent Crime, Civil Rights, Health Care Fraud, and Transnational Organized Crime programs within Los Angeles.
Ms. Morgan entered on duty as a Special Agent with the FBI on January 5, 1997. Following her training at the FBI Academy at Quantico, Ms. Morgan was assigned to the Los Angeles Field Office in April of 1997 where she worked White Collar Crime matters. In December of 2002, Ms. Morgan was promoted to FBI Headquarters as a Supervisory Special Agent in the Counterterrorism Division. In November of 2005, Ms. Morgan was promoted and returned to the Los Angeles Field Office to manage the Office of Public and Congressional Affairs. After completing this assignment, Ms. Morgan was assigned the responsibility of managing the Joint Terrorism Task Force responsible for Critical Infrastructure Protection overseeing the FBI’s management of the Los Angeles International Airport, the Long Beach Airport, the Los Angeles/Long Beach Seaport and the metro, bus and rail systems within the Los Angeles territory. In March 2010, Ms. Morgan was assigned the responsibility to oversee the Extraterritorial Mission for the FBI Los Angeles Field Office. In this assignment, Ms. Morgan managed international terrorism investigations in 32 countries within Southeast Asia.
In February of 2012, Ms. Morgan was promoted to be the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Long Beach Resident Agency, Los Angeles Field Office. Ms. Morgan led the Long Beach JTTF, the Critical Infrastructure Protection Program, the Counterterrorism Extraterritorial Program, the Counterterrorism Threat Program, the Special Mission Teams (SWAT, ERT, Bomb Technicians, WMD, HazMat), the International Terrorism Criminal Enterprise Program and the Long Beach Domestic Terrorism Program. In January of 2016, Ms. Morgan was named Chief of Internal Investigations at FBI Headquarters. Ms. Morgan was the senior executive responsible for evaluating, reviewing, and investigating all administrative and criminal matters of employee misconduct pertaining to FBI employees.
Ms. Morgan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from the University of California at Berkeley in 1990 and then she attended the University of Southern California where in 1993 she earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a minor in Public Policy.
